The owners have cleverly mixed old and new to make it a very charming home. There is a lovely garden and super views to the south. The property is located just 15 mins level walk from Hay centre with its shops, cafes and restaurants. The property is surrounded by open countryside (there are some barns, nearby where the owners live!) with enclosed garden areas for customer's use to the front and rear. Accommodation overview: Mere Coach House is a simply stunning! A large, detached house located down a long drive on the edge of the premium (and quite famous) Cotswolds village of Fairford, it offers just about everything you could wish for when looking for an exclusive holiday home. Inside, the owners have created a very welcoming and stylish yet quirky home with large rooms throughout and four fabulous bedroom suites, each with bathrooms. From our perspective, we found the kitchen/diner the real heart of the house, warm and inviting with its huge Aga, and enjoying superb views across the private gardens and paddock beyond, both of which are perfect for children (and adults of course!) to play ball games. This is one for the family, it is also one for friends too given it's superb layout and location in this historic village. There is little not to like in this house, so we're quite certain you will have a fabulous and memorable holiday here. The property, which is semi detached, is a traditionally styled Cotswold Stone cottage which sits on the edge of the development, overlooks a little River Thames stream, while a short walk across the lane in front of the cottage, takes you to the lake, where you can sit and enjoy the view across the lake.
