Motor racing and horse racing are nearby at Goodwood. Leornardslee and West Dean Gardens, Parham House, the Weald and Downland museum and the South Downs themselves are all close. Chichester (½ hour) has its ancient cathedral, festival theatre, Roman ruins, harbour tours and tearooms. At Arundel the castle and Wildfowl Trust are popular.
