The area is well known for its outdoor activities which include cycling, white water rafting, fishing, off road driving and horse riding, all of which are available locally. For Golf enthusiasts there are several good 9 and 18 hole courses within a short drive. You could join a tour at one of the local whisky distilleries, Perthshire is the home to Edradour Distillery which is the smallest distillery in Scotland. If all of this has left you feeling hungry you could sample one of the fine local restaurants at the Ardeonaig Hotel, Fortingall Hotel or the Courtyard in Kenmore. For a bit of history you could visit the ancient Yew tree in Fortingall, believed to be more than 2,000 years old, visit the Scottish Crannog Centre in Kenmore, where you will find a living history display of this ancient loch dwelling or take a trip to Castle Menzies.
