Anstruther the largest of the East Neuk fishing villages is home to the Scottish Fisheries Museum as well as interesting shops welcoming pubs and an award winning fish and chip shop (500 yards). Just 9 miles away lies the 'home' of golf the ancient university town of St Andrews and many other excellent courses are close by. Visitors can enjoy boat trips to the Isle of May there are wonderful coastal footpaths and the beaches are glorious.

A wealth of activities and places of interest lie within easy reach – the area is excellent for golf (the nearest course is just 3 miles away) as well as riding (there is a riding school in Glenfarg 1 mile) and whilst the waters of nearby Loch Leven (5 miles) attract fly fishermen cyclists can explore the cycle path around the loch and bird watchers will head to its RSPB reserve. Falkland Palace and Gardens (SNT) are just 8 miles away and visitors can enjoy a boat trip to see where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned at Loch Leven Castle which is also a delightful picnic spot. Accommodation overview: The Stables is a delightful detached cottage set in the grounds of Buchanan Castle (now a ruin) in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Sitting within two acres of private woodland there is an uninterrupted view out over the open fields of Strathendrick, where the river Endrick flows out to Loch Lomond. This quaint, peaceful cottage has been beautifully furnished and is ideal for honeymooners or couples wanting to get away from it all. Local amenities are available at Drymen, only one mile away where there are hotels, pubs, restaurants, shops and leisure facilities. There are quiet roads and trails to explore around the Castle, with good access for walks and cycling. The cosy double bedroom is beautifully coordinated and enjoys a lovely view. The picturesque little fishing villages scattered along the East Neuk offer wonderful opportunities for sailing, fishing and exploring. The area is also popular for hill walking/climbing and for golfers, there are endless local courses to choose from. The Fife Coastal Path stretches from Lower Largo to St Andrews. Accommodation overview: Rovers Den is a charming property located in the heart of Perthshire, on the outskirts of the beautiful city of Perth. The cottage occupies a wonderful position with a private garden overlooking open farmland, the delightful River Earn and the Moncrieffe Hills.  The property has been newly re-furbished and is extremely well presented. The property has a bright and airy open plan layout with the main oak wood floor living space on the ground floor and a carpeted gallery bedroom accessed via a spiral staircase. The light-filled gallery bedroom is a joy but it does come with fully fitted black-out blinds to prevent the early morning sun spoiling that all important holiday lie-in!   The lounge has two comfy leather sofas, a flat screen TV, an electric stove effect fire and large sliding patio doors leading out to a decked area affording open views of the surrounding countryside. The garden leads round to a second decked area on the other side of the property, which overlooks the River Earn and Moncrieffe Hills. This deck can also be accessed via the rear kitchen door. The kitchen is compact but both fully fitted and well equipped. This lovely cottage sits only a quarter of a mile from the local village and all essential amenities.
