The Normans is a three storey holiday townhouse situated in the centre of Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk, just a 2-minute walk from the harbour and the sea. A high wall totally encloses the picturesque rear garden and patio area of this self catering luxury rental house. The house was originally built for the town's wheat merchant, who, it was rumoured, was also a smuggler. At the top of the holiday house there is a spy window, from which the merchant watched his boats come in and apparently the house had tunnels running beneath leading to various locations in the town. The spacious bedrooms have impressive views across the coast from Holkham to Stiffkey.
Wells-next-the-Sea is a popular Norfolk town set behind a small harbour on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. The town has a maze of narrow streets, old alleys and yards, filled with shops, pubs and cafes and there are many listed and impressive Georgian and Victorian buildings.
Wells-next-the-Sea is within one of the UK's designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the heart of the North Norfolk Heritage Coast. The beautiful sandy beach, with its pine trees, sand dunes and colourful beach huts, can be reached using a miniature steam train from the harbour, or enjoy the quay with its active fishing fleet and sailing club. The Normans makes an ideal outdoor holiday break as both Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham Woods are one of the UK's designated Nature Reserves, and walkers and birdwatchers can enjoy the North Norfolk Coastal Path, creeks and marshes. Accommodation overview: Conveniently situated between the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, Holly Cottage nestles in a semi rural position on the outskirts of the village of Girsby and has been recently converted to a particularly high standard. The cottage is adjacent to the owners home and livery yard and has been stylishly furnished and decorated, enjoying the warmth and comfort of a wood burning stove in the lounge which is open to the eaves and from where a beautiful spiral chandelier takes pride of place! The lounge opens up to a superb tasteful kitchen with adjacent dining area featuring a large chunky table and very comfortable leather dining chairs. The master bedroom houses a zip and link bed which can be used as either a super King size bed or full size twin beds to offer flexibility, whilst the second bedroom, built into the eaves of the house provides a single bed with a pullout bed and a large velux window which opens to a Cabrio balcony. Each of the bedrooms has access to the Jack and Jill style bathroom. Outside the cottage is surrounded by paddocks, a gravelled patio with garden furniture and BBQ to the rear and a large pond stocked with Koi Carp to the front. The pond is very deep and children must be strictly supervised in this area.

The Oat House is an attached property built in traditional style using mellow honey coloured Cotswold stone beneath a slate roof. The village of Snowshill is situated on the top of the Cotswold escarpment above the villages of Stanway, Stanton Broadway, Buckland and Laverton.
The village is secluded with period cottages and houses and a 19th century church clustered around a small green. Snowshill is renowned for its manor house with beautiful gardens and tea rooms which are administered by The National Trust. The Lavender Farm on the edge of the village also has tea rooms. The village pub, The Snowshill Arms, serves good food and is only a two-minute walk away.
Locally there are many public footpaths and close by is the Cotswold Way.
Nearby, picturesque Broadway offers a wide range of shops and restaurants. Chipping Campden, Cheltenham and Stratford upon Avon with its renowned Royal Shakespeare Theatre are all within easy reach.
For the sporting enthusiasts there are several golf courses nearby along with National Hunt Racing at Cheltenham, Polo at Cirencester Park and Cricket at Worcester.
