Accommodation overview: A beautiful renovated 18th Century detached cottage with some sea views, just yards from the beach of this peaceful and unspoilt fishing village, set on the sheltered east coast of the scenic Lizard Peninsula facing out over Falmouth Bay.
Entered directly from the road, a covered entrance porch leads into a delightful open plan beamed living room which extends the full width of the cottage, with a stone inglenook fireplace with original bread oven and timber lintel, quarry tiled flooring, double glazed throughout and comfortably furnished to a high standard. At one end of the room is a smart range of Shaker style fitted kitchen units.
The remainder of the ground floor consists of a small bedroom with sturdy 3ft bunk beds more suitable for preteens and two steps up at the rear leads to a bathroom W.C. with underfloor heating, hand basin and shower over the bath and a utility area with an external door to the small service yard.
An open tread pine staircase leads up from the sitting room to the first floor landing and to two bedrooms, a double bedroom overlooking the quiet village and a twin with sea views and an en suite shower room W.C. and wash basin. There are electric convector heaters in all bedrooms. To the side of the cottage is a parking area which leads down to the attractive shingle beach and a 300 year old pub and restaurant.
The cove is a fine base for boating and fishing activities, the south west coastal path is nearby and the bustling village of St Keverne is just over 2 miles away. The lovely village and harbour of Coverack is 4 miles.

Accommodation overview: Waitby School was built on Waitby Fell in 1680 by James Highmore, a local to the area, for the children of Waitby and Smardale. About a mile and a half west of Kirkby Stephen, Waitby is said to have been an ancient market town, with a castle, chapel and cemetery, but no trace of either is now to be seen. However, the school remains, standing proud on the fellside and, having been purchased recently by another local family, has been lovingly restored, in conjunction with English Heritage, to offer luxurious holiday accommodation. Accommodation overview: A traditional terraced cottage in the colourful village of Cawsand on the Rame Peninsula where the pretty little beach which offers safe bathing and all the village amenities are only a couple of minutes walk away. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty with spectacular walks along the coastline to Rame Head, the cottage is tucked into a narrow winding street that actually forms part of the South West Coast Path.
The front door leads directly into a cosy open plan living room which takes up the whole of the ground floor with a rustic dining table and comfortable seating next to an electric log effect fire and there is a smart fitted kitchen area at the rear with a dark laminate wood floor. In one corner of the kitchen, rather steep stairs lead up to the first floor where there are a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and two bedrooms, a small room has a 3ft single and a 2ft 4in childs bed and a double bedroom which has a decorative fireplace, both with low doorways.
A further steep staircase with a door at the bottom leads up to a good size loft room with a futon sofa bed as an alternative sleeping arrangement, oblique sea views between the rooftops from a skylight window and plenty of floor space for children to play.
Parking is in the pay and display village car park about 500 yards away and there are a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants both in Cawsand and Kingsand within a five minute stroll. The sheltered cove is popular for swimming and water sports and a summer ferry runs from Plymouth landing on Cawsand beach. Antony House and Mount Edgcumbe Park are within a few minutes drive and fishing, bird watching, golf and horse riding are all available locally.
