Accommodation overview: Peewit House is a magnificent Cotswold Country House set in glorious countryside, yet convenient for the market towns of Stow on the Wold and Moreton  in Marsh. This detached Cotswold stone house is located on the edge of a little village called Kitebrook itself just 5 minutes from Moreton. Recently renovated and restored, the accommodation is spacious, beautifully furnished and very well equipped. Outside there is a large garden surrounding the house, which can be accessed from the living room and kitchen. We see this as an ideal and brilliant choice for families or larger groups who enjoy high quality and attention to detail. Accommodation overview: Somerford Cottage is a quintessential English country cottage set in the heart of a beautiful and classic Cotswold village, itself located in the southern Cotswolds. The property, which has a history dating back hundreds of years, was once part of the village's Manor House, offers lovely large rooms throughout, all presented in an attractive and stylish fashion, with careful attention given to mixing contemporary furniture with traditional cottage features. Of particular appeal is the spacious living area, which is light, airy and inviting. As one would expect with a property of such history there are delightful, mature gardens, which customers can enjoy (see below*), in fact the owners are able to offer seasonal 'home grown produce' to customers - wonderful!! Locally, the village of Great Somerford is a thriving community with an excellent local shop and pub both within a 5 minute walk. We consider this holiday cottage as ideal for families or small groups who want to enjoy a traditional Cotswold location with good facilities nearby and good access to a wealth of local attractions. Parents should note that there is a pond with fish and that children should not be left unattended at the pond. We ask customers to be considerate when using the garden both for the owners and also because they are of local importance from a floral perspective. LOCATIONGreat Somerford (part of 'The Somerfords) is a traditional village situated in the southern Cotswolds, deep in the heart of Wiltshire's Clay Vale, sandwiched between the limestone belt of the Cotswolds and the chalklands of the Malborough Downs. Amongst a few 'claims to fame' is the fact that the village is believed to have the country's oldest allotment with notes  of a private growing dating back to 1809! Nearby is the market town of Malmesbury, which has a beautiful church, with Tetbury. 15 mins drive, an antique collectors heaven a little further away. Westonbirt Arboretum, with its amazing walks and forests is within 2o minutes drive. Bath, in particular, is a convenient drive away as are a wide variety of Cotswold attractions and attractive villages.

Accommodation overview: This pretty detached cottage sits on the edge of the creek with gardens extending to the banks. A stable door leads into an open plan ground floor with beamed ceiling.

The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a breakfast bar. Beyond the kitchen is the dining area and a comfortable sitting area with French windows opening onto an attractive small patio and lawn on the quay side.

Upstairs are three bedrooms, all with waterside views, one with a double bed, another with twin divans and wash basin and a children's room with 2ft 6in bunk beds. The bathroom is fitted with a W.C., basin and shower over the bath.

Both Bodinnick and Polruan, which are in easy walking distance, have popular Inns providing good pub food. Fowey, with its rich variety of pubs, restaurants and cafes is 1.5 miles via the Bodinnick car / pedestrian ferry or half a mile down the creek by boat.

Guests from Pont House and Pont Quay Cottage may use this private quay, slipway and foreshore for their own and hire boats with the prior agreement of the owner. Pets are welcome at Pont but must be kept under control at all times to protect the abundant wildlife. There is a seasonal shop at Penmarlam campsite 1 mile away.

We fell in love with the location the moment we drove through the private gates - it really is the ideal spot for friends or family to relax and unwind and to enjoy the open space that this location affords. Approached from a drive that winds through the mature gardens and small areas of woodland, the property is fronted by a tree shaded lawn and is entered from a private patio with an adjacent gravel parking area.

The front door opens into a central hallway giving access to a cheerful living room with a cosy woodburning stove and comfortable easy chairs by the sliding patio doors and a dining table set before a window overlooking the meadow.
