This detached house, is set on the edge of a small woods, surrounded by the beautiful countryside off a small country lane - this is is a real cottage hideaway! The house which is a traditional Cotswold style with good size rooms (rather than open plan) which give it a sense 'swallows-and-amazons'! We say this is as remote as you can get from the twentieth century in Southern England! Woodwells is a picturesque farmhouse built in 1877, set in the midst of a sunny clearing of wooded hills and at the end of the meadows. The house is surrounded by fields and paddocks and, in our opinion, is simply ideal for large gatherings of friends and/or families. Externally the house sits in an acre size plot on the edge of the village (see below) and is well located for the popular market towns of Chipping Norton, Moreton in Marsh and Stow on the Wold. Similarly near by are a host of beautiful Cotswold villages.
