Accommodation overview: The Court House ETC 4 Star, is a charming Grade I listed Stuart garden building from circa 1620. It has been imaginatively converted to provide a chic little cottage for two to four adults in the heart of the beautiful Gloucestershire Cotswolds. Originally, it was a banqueting house or gazebo, but more recently it has become known as the Manor's 'Court House', because here the successive Lords of the Manor of Owlpen would have held their Court Leet or 'Hamilton' - the "trying of their servants and tenants for petty offences"! ACCOMMODATION: Downstairs is the Kitchen and Bathroom, with a little loggia restored as an attractive Dining Room. The glass doors, divided by a simple Tuscan column, frame a view of the East Wing of Owlpen's Manor House.First Floor Please note: reached via a steep, narrow spiral staircase, leading to a Sitting Room in the old Justice Room. Main Bedroom with double bed (and a basin) beyond.Second floor (via steep narrow staircase.)Bedroom Two, with a four foot double bed. This lovely holiday cottage is set within the peaceful grounds of the owners home and is surrounded by some fine rolling Cotswolds' countryside. As one would expect from such a location it is ideal for walks, but it is equally perfect for enjoying many classic Cotswold spots including some National Trust gardens and ever popular market towns such as Stow on the Wold. Internally the cottage is presented in immaculate condition with good thought given to the period property whilst providing many modern facilities throughout that will give customers, in our opinion, a delightful experience and at excellent price. Added to this is access to a paddock AND a super games room with 'pub style' pool table!! The village of Armscote is about 15 minutes walk away and has a wonderful local pub, The Fox & Goose, with open fires and great food. Stratford-upon-Avon is eight miles away and there are several National Trust properties within a few miles. Shipston-on-Stour, a delightful market town with a wide range of independent shops, and Ilmington, a lovely Cotswold village with the famous Howard Arms pub with great food and atmosphere, are both 2-3 miles away. Chipping Campden, described historically as having Britain's most beautiful village street, is a short drive away
