A large, detached house located down a long drive on the edge of the premium (and quite famous) Cotswolds village of Fairford, it offers just about everything you could wish for when looking for an exclusive holiday home. Inside, the owners have created a very welcoming and stylish yet quirky home with large rooms throughout and four fabulous bedroom suites, each with bathrooms. From our perspective, we found the kitchen/diner the real heart of the house, warm and inviting with its huge Aga, and enjoying superb views across the private gardens and paddock beyond, both of which are perfect for children (and adults of course!) to play ball games. This is one for the family, it is also one for friends too given it's superb layout and location in this historic village. There is little not to like in this house, so we're quite certain you will have a fabulous and memorable holiday here. The Heart of England Way runs adjacent to the cottage, and a 15-minute walk along this public footpath through the magnificent grounds of the Abbottswood Estate, will bring you to Lower Swell where the Golden Ball Public House offers good food, an open fire and a warm welcome. From Lower Swell, you can continue along the public footpaths for a further two miles, to the charming and much photographed villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter.
