The properties were converted by Mrs. Judy Astor, our proprietor, back in 1992 and have been developed and refurbished over time to reflect our guests' wants and needs.
You should feel that your cottage is your 'home from home' in the Cotswolds and that everything you need to enjoy your stay is provided, from ready chopped and stacked logs for the open fire to high quality crockery and cutlery, from antique furniture to state of the art sound and vision. Upstairs there are five-bedrooms and upstairs outdoor decking area with superb outlooks over Mill Bridge and beyond. Furthermore, the property is situated mere yards from the £6m Artspa facility with indoor and outdoor heated pools. The property, which is semi detached, is a traditionally styled Cotswold Stone cottage which sits on the edge of the development, overlooks a little River Thames stream, while a short walk across the lane in front of the cottage, takes you to the lake, where you can sit and enjoy the view across the lake. There are many activities on offer including an outdoor heated swimming pool and tennis court. The property, which is located in a quiet corner of the Lower Mill Village, is a detached home sitting on the banks of a River Thames tributary with views looking towards the lakes beyond. In fact the owner tells us if you like to fish, you can't be better situated - fishing on your own private lake!! This particular holiday cottage has many positive elements as well as its location but in particular it has access to a large and private garden area which sits overlooking the lake and which is exclusive to guests in this cottage! Internally, the owner has maintained the cottage to a high standard and provides a contemporary holiday home ideal for families or small groups alike. Naturally the outdoor facilities, including the outdoor heated pool and tennis court not to mention the endless walks and cycle rides make this a very desirable cottage. This can of course be booked with other cottages located nearby within the Lower Mill Village. Many famous Cotswolds villages are within twenty minutes by car such as Stow on the Wold, Bourotn on the Water, The Slaughters, The Swells and The Barringtons. The famous gardens of Kiftsgate and Hidcote are about 40 mins away, not far from the delightful town of Chipping Campden. Westonbirt Arboretum is 40 mins to the south - there are of course many locals gardens that are open during the season!
