The property, which is at least 250 years old, sits towards the end of a no-through road leading towards the historic Norman church and forms part of a row of cottages that are now all owned by one family. The village is 'terribly quintessential English': full of period buildings, relatviely untouched and with stunning views down the valley. Inside the cottage is furnished to a very high standard, with period and contemporary touches in equal measure - very attractive. It is ideal for two, three or four people with the beds providing a variety of 'options'! There is also an enclosed garden to the rear. The Moors House is a 18th century self catering holiday long house situated in the character village of South Zeal in the northern part of the Dartmoor National Park, Devon.
The holiday home is situated a little over four miles east of the Devon town of Okehampton. Just 15 miles west of Exeter, it is easily accessible from Exeter St Davids, Exeter Airport and the A30/M5.
This luxury holiday house is a short walk to the Devonshire village of South Zeal, which has two friendly public houses both serving food as well as a store and coffee shop. Ideally situated for an outdoor break as you can explore both the Dartmoor National Park and the Tarka Trail which passes through the next village. There are numerous local attractions and places to visit, including Roadford sailing and angling lake, just 20 minutes away.
The beaches are 30 minutes' drive and the Eden Project is just over an hour away. An ideal golfing break, there are numerous golf courses in the area, and for those who enjoy riding there are two riding stables within five miles.

It faces onto the village green with views of the hills. There is a small front garden and an attractive rear garden with garden furniture.
Sydling is rated one of the prettiest small villages in Dorset with thatched cottages, chalk streams, ducks, and a children's play area tucked off the High Street. There is also an award-winning pub, the Greyhound. Sydling is a good base for walking and biking with the Wessex Ridgeway Path running through the village. In addition there are a number of historic houses and gardens nearby to visit, plus golf courses. It is in easy reach of lovely beaches such as Ringstead Bay. Dorchester, seven miles away, has two railway stations and a range of shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets plus a sports centre.
