The village itself has a small shop and also the benefit of a train station with direct links to London. This has to be one of our finest holiday cottages. The owners have made the most of the building and presented it in an 'industrial cool meets Bath charm' style that appealed to us when we inspected the property. This is an unusual property, and we think you'll love it when you stay. The property is located about 15 mins level walk to the centre of Bath (& also v. close to where Bath Rugby Club train!) and on the very edge of a small housing development. Accommodation overview: Granary Cottage, Blackwell is a Four Star rated self catering cottage set in the heart of the Northern Cotswolds, and a convenient distance from Chipping Campden and also Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon. This lovely holiday cottage is set within the peaceful grounds of the owners home and is surrounded by some fine rolling Cotswolds' countryside. As one would expect from such a location it is ideal for walks, but it is equally perfect for enjoying many classic Cotswold spots including some National Trust gardens and ever popular market towns such as Stow on the Wold. Internally the cottage is presented in immaculate condition with good thought given to the period property whilst providing many modern facilities throughout that will give customers, in our opinion, a delightful experience and at excellent price. Added to this is access to a paddock AND a super games room with 'pub style' pool table!! Even though we saw this cottage on a damp day, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and are quite certain that you will too.ACCOMMODATIONEntrance through to hallway with boot storage and hanging space with cloakroomKitchen is a contemporary and a good size. Stratford-upon-Avon is eight miles away and there are several National Trust properties within a few miles. Shipston-on-Stour, a delightful market town with a wide range of independent shops, and Ilmington, a lovely Cotswold village with the famous Howard Arms pub with great food and atmosphere, are both 2-3 miles away. Chipping Campden, described historically as having Britain's most beautiful village street, is a short drive away

Accommodation overview: Within a 20 minute drive to the sandy beaches at Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay and Bude, this freshly renovated 100 year old detached double glazed cottage is set to one side of the country lane and farm entrance in a peaceful rural location.
Ideally situated to enjoy the dramatic north Cornish Coastline, rugged moorland and fishing villages. Over The Hedge offers comfortable and cosy accommodation year round. A canopied porch and glazed door opens directly into the light and airy living room comprising the ground floor with slate flooring and rural views from the two windows. A modern well fitted kitchen is set to one side with dining furniture and comfortable lounge seating arranged before an attractive open stone fireplace with a woodburning stove and original clome oven.
A winding carpeted staircase leads up to the first floor where you will find the attractive double bedroom with kingsize bed and dual aspect overlooking the garden to one side and surrounding countryside to the other. A door from the bedroom and landing gives access to the En-suite shower room W.C with hand basin and heated towel rail.
From the living room a glazed door at the rear leads out to a paved patio and onto the tiered landscaped lawn bordered by a Cornish hedge on both sides, fruit trees and a wild garden at the top. To one side the garden continues to the front paved patio and small lawn enclosed by trellis fencing. There is a gated drive to the side with parking for 1 car.
Hallworthy 2 miles has a country pub and Marshgate 2.5 miles with its P.O store is the nearest village for your day to day needs. Wainhouse Corner 5 miles has a pub, garage and P.O store. The nearest beach is 7 miles away at Crackington Haven with the resort of Bude with its shops, restaurants, tennis courts and watersports is within a 30 minute drive. Trelash is on the Cornish Way cycle network and the south west coast path at Boscastle gives access to some dramatic coastal walks with Bodmin Moor providing many rugged scenic walks nearby. The historic houses & gardens at Pencarrow, Prideaux & Lanhydrock are all within a 40 minute drive. The coastal towns of Boscastle and Tintagel are 7 & 10 miles respectively and the picturesque harbour village of Port Isaac famous for Doc Martin is within a 30 minute drive.
