Internally the cottage retains a number of period features, complimented by quality fixtures and fittings all set within a spacious home ideal for relaxing within. Externally the property has a large outdoor patio as well access across the owners grounds and use of the tennis court. Situated in a quiet position in the village, the cottage is only one mile from the picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water with its stone bridges crossing the River Windrush and many attractions. Accommodation overview: A pretty 17th century detached cottage full of charm and character, the old forge was once part of the Earl of Wharncliffe's estate and is set beside a narrow road in the ancient borough of Bossiney, just half a mile from Tintagel, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur and a 10 minute walk from Bossiney Cove.
Sympathetically furnished to compliment many original features, the cottage has slight changes of level and is entered from the road by a few steps leading up to the front porch and an inner glazed door opens directly into a light and sunny sitting room with an electric living flame fire in the stone fireplace, warm and comfortably furnished.
An inner hallway leads to a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and an attractive double bedroom, with a 5ft bed and deep window seat looking across to the methodist chapel and Bossiney Mound, famed for where Sir Francis Drake was proclaimed MP.
A pleasant dining room, with oil fired Rayburn for background heat in the colder months, still has the original ledge and brace door leading out to an extension at the rear with a bright and spacious modern fitted kitchen with a double oven and a window overlooking the sheltered garden. The back door opens from here to a pretty little cottage garden with mature shrubs and 3 steps leading up to the lawn area surrounded by a cornish stone and hedge border.
Parking for one car is available on the sloping drive at one end of the property. The nearest beach is Bossiney Cove which has fine sand at low tide reached by a 10 minute walk down a fairly steep incline. The famous ruins of Tintagel castle and Merlins sea cave below are approximately 1 and a half miles. King Arthurs Great Halls / Information Centre and a good selection of local shops, pubs and restaurants are within one mile. The attractive NT harbour at Boscastle is 3 miles and the coastal footpath is very close by leading to the dramatic Rocky Valley. St Nectans Glen is approximately 1 mile.

Accommodation overview: A semi detached cottage set within a small hamlet about 2 miles from the coast at Pentewan which can be reached by car or by cycle path alongside the river. Set to one side of the Mevagissey road and fronted by a small but very pretty walled and gated garden it is entered via a side path to a service courtyard at one side.
A door opens directly into a small fitted kitchen with a glazed door leading into an attractive beamed sitting / dining room with comfortable seating and a fireplace with an electric fire at the further end.
Open tread stairs go directly up to the first floor where there is a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, bath and shower cubicle and a bedroom with a double bed. A traditional staircase continues up to the top floor and a delightful bedroom with a 4ft double bed. There is a useful shed for bike and beach gear storage.
A small shop about 150 yards away has long opening hours during the season There is a bistro restaurant in the village and a pub a short walk away. Pentewan village about 2 miles has a pub, restaurant and small shops. Ideally situated for touring the County, the cottage is approximately midway between the Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project, with beaches and golf courses within easy reach.
On one side of the valley between London Apprentice and Pentewan is the beautiful and ancient Kings Wood popular with walkers and cyclists. St Austell 2 miles has a leisure centre, shops and cinema and its main line railway station and bus terminus can be easily accessed from a bus stop at London Apprentice. The picturesque harbours of Mevagissey and Charlestown are approximately 4 miles.

Accommodation overview: Just over a mile from the glorious sandy beach at Perranporth, this peaceful and detached single storey cottage, formerly a 19th century counting house is set in a large country garden with lovely rural views over open countryside.
Offering total seclusion this comfortable,light and spacious family property is ideal for either a relaxing break at any time of the year or as a base for exploring the north coast with a wealth of sandy beaches and coastal walks nearby.
Approached by a long and narrow unmade lane and gated gravel driveway with parking for at least 3 cars, a sloping path and a series of steps lead down to the front door which opens to a useful entrance porch. An inner door leads directly into the bright and sunny kitchen area leading through to the adjacent dining room with a natural wood floor and views of the garden and countryside beyond.
A central hallway gives access to a sitting room with a high ceiling and comfortable lounge seating facing the fireplace and French windows open to a lovely conservatory with casual seating and tranquil views over the mature garden. There are three pleasant bedrooms: a spacious master bedroom with a double bed, a smaller double bedroom and a single bedded room. A bathroom W.C. with hand basin, heated towel rail and shower over the bath and an additional cloakroom W.C. completes the accommodation.
The extensive sloping garden which surrounds Cregaminnis is ideal for older children to let off steam however toddlers, young children and pets will require supervision as there are some steep unprotected areas. The seaside village of Perranporth is just over 1 mile away and has a wide expanse of fine golden sand popular with surfers and families alike with a selection of shops, pubs, restaurants, and surf hire facilities suitable for everyday needs.
The nearest pub is at Bolingey which can be reached via a local footpath or 1 mile by road and there are also traditional village pubs in Mithian, St Agnes and Cubert all within a 5 mile radius. There is a golf course and riding stables close by in addition to breathtaking cliff walks ideal for birdwatching at Cligga Head. The cathedral city of Truro is about a 15minute drive.
