Accommodation overview: Bookers Cottage details
Bookers Cottage, set in its own apple orchard, was built in the 19th century in traditional mellow Cotswold stone, and is roofed in lichen-covered Stonesfield mellow slates. Situated at Bruern Cottages offering the luxury and comfort you'd expect from a 5 star hotel, with the space and personalised touches you can only find in a bespoke self catering property. We like to think of everything and we know that the little details can make all the difference.
From the interior designed living spaces to the established gardens, the warmly inviting indoor pool and spa to our always ready to help staff, our focus is our customers' happiness and our success is measured by how many of our guests return to us year on year.
Built in Victorian times our twelve cottages have won many awards including 5 star recognition and the English Tourist Boards Excellence Award. The properties were converted by Mrs. Judy Astor, our proprietor, back in 1992 and have been developed and refurbished over time to reflect our guests' wants and needs.
You should feel that your cottage is your 'home from home' in the Cotswolds and that everything you need to enjoy your stay is provided, from ready chopped and stacked logs for the open fire to high quality crockery and cutlery, from antique furniture to state of the art sound and vision. We seek out the fluffiest of towels and the highest thread count Egyptian cotton bed linen; we welcome you with a basket of local goodies and a bottle of champagne; we relish in all the little personal touches that make a great stay a brilliant one.
Bruern is a small hamlet surrounded by open country and has that special feel of a place 'lost in time'. Yet it is a short drive or train ride from cities and towns like Cheltenham, Oxford, Cirencester and Bath.
There's so much to do in the surrounding area for families, couples and solo travellers alike. We think you'll find that at Bruern you are ideally placed to enjoy all the Cotswolds has to offer and beyond.

Located in the heart of Cornwall, Ventonglidder is a truly idyllic hideaway at any time of year. It is a great base from which to explore Cornwall, close to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula and picturesque fishing villages and beaches of the south coast as well as the wilder Atlantic coast to the north.
