Accommodation overview: Dating back to the 17th century, this period house was home to the last act of private and domestic warfare in England, possession of the house was fought over by Sir Thomas Metcalfe, known as the Black Knight of Nappa and Mrs Robinson. There is much to do and see in the surrounding area with Darlington a mere 18 miles distant. Within an hour’s drive there are many racecourses including Sedgefield, Catterick, Wetherby, York and Newcastle to name but a few. Scotch Corner is 9 miles, and Teeside 30 miles.
