Only 3 miles from Scarborough's golden sands a few hundred yards from the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and just 15 minutes walk from the village of Scalby (with a choice of good shops and excellent inns) the properties have been designed and furnished to the highest standard. Scarborough's attractions (3 miles) include a Sea Life Centre and swimming/flume pools together with plenty of restaurants cafés and evening entertainment. Sea trips are available from the harbour and coarse fishing can be enjoyed at nearby Throxenby Mere. The Forge Valley Woodland Nature Reserve is half a mile on foot or there are quiet lanes leading up to Langdale Forest directly from the cottages. Golf and riding are available locally. Within 20 miles are the historic houses of Sledmere Burton Agnes Castle Howard. Inviting moorland countryside of 'Heartbeat' fame Robin Hood's Bay and the old port of Whitby are within easy reach.
