Accommodation overview: A beautiful renovated 18th Century detached cottage with some sea views, just yards from the beach of this peaceful and unspoilt fishing village, set on the sheltered east coast of the scenic Lizard Peninsula facing out over Falmouth Bay.
Entered directly from the road, a covered entrance porch leads into a delightful open plan beamed living room which extends the full width of the cottage, with a stone inglenook fireplace with original bread oven and timber lintel, quarry tiled flooring, double glazed throughout and comfortably furnished to a high standard. At one end of the room is a smart range of Shaker style fitted kitchen units.
The remainder of the ground floor consists of a small bedroom with sturdy 3ft bunk beds more suitable for preteens and two steps up at the rear leads to a bathroom W.C. with underfloor heating, hand basin and shower over the bath and a utility area with an external door to the small service yard.
An open tread pine staircase leads up from the sitting room to the first floor landing and to two bedrooms, a double bedroom overlooking the quiet village and a twin with sea views and an en suite shower room W.C. and wash basin. There are electric convector heaters in all bedrooms. To the side of the cottage is a parking area which leads down to the attractive shingle beach and a 300 year old pub and restaurant.
The cove is a fine base for boating and fishing activities, the south west coastal path is nearby and the bustling village of St Keverne is just over 2 miles away. The lovely village and harbour of Coverack is 4 miles.

Accommodation overview: This pretty detached cottage sits on the edge of the creek with gardens extending to the banks. A stable door leads into an open plan ground floor with beamed ceiling.
The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a breakfast bar. Beyond the kitchen is the dining area and a comfortable sitting area with French windows opening onto an attractive small patio and lawn on the quay side.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, all with waterside views, one with a double bed, another with twin divans and wash basin and a children's room with 2ft 6in bunk beds. The bathroom is fitted with a W.C., basin and shower over the bath.
Both Bodinnick and Polruan, which are in easy walking distance, have popular Inns providing good pub food. Fowey, with its rich variety of pubs, restaurants and cafes is 1.5 miles via the Bodinnick car / pedestrian ferry or half a mile down the creek by boat.
Guests from Pont House and Pont Quay Cottage may use this private quay, slipway and foreshore for their own and hire boats with the prior agreement of the owner. Pets are welcome at Pont but must be kept under control at all times to protect the abundant wildlife. There is a seasonal shop at Penmarlam campsite 1 mile away.

Accommodation overview: A pretty 17th century detached cottage full of charm and character, the old forge was once part of the Earl of Wharncliffe's estate and is set beside a narrow road in the ancient borough of Bossiney, just half a mile from Tintagel, the legendary birthplace of King Arthur and a 10 minute walk from Bossiney Cove.
Sympathetically furnished to compliment many original features, the cottage has slight changes of level and is entered from the road by a few steps leading up to the front porch and an inner glazed door opens directly into a light and sunny sitting room with an electric living flame fire in the stone fireplace, warm and comfortably furnished.
An inner hallway leads to a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath and an attractive double bedroom, with a 5ft bed and deep window seat looking across to the methodist chapel and Bossiney Mound, famed for where Sir Francis Drake was proclaimed MP.
A pleasant dining room, with oil fired Rayburn for background heat in the colder months, still has the original ledge and brace door leading out to an extension at the rear with a bright and spacious modern fitted kitchen with a double oven and a window overlooking the sheltered garden. The back door opens from here to a pretty little cottage garden with mature shrubs and 3 steps leading up to the lawn area surrounded by a cornish stone and hedge border.
Parking for one car is available on the sloping drive at one end of the property. The nearest beach is Bossiney Cove which has fine sand at low tide reached by a 10 minute walk down a fairly steep incline. The famous ruins of Tintagel castle and Merlins sea cave below are approximately 1 and a half miles. King Arthurs Great Halls / Information Centre and a good selection of local shops, pubs and restaurants are within one mile. The attractive NT harbour at Boscastle is 3 miles and the coastal footpath is very close by leading to the dramatic Rocky Valley. St Nectans Glen is approximately 1 mile.

Accommodation overview: Only a few minutes from the coastal path and in a wonderful area for walkers, with lovely country views, this attractive detached granite cottage is set in the picturesque farming hamlet of Bosorne on the brow of a hill overlooking Cot Valley which runs down to the boulder strewn beach and rugged coast to the south of Cape Cornwall.
Approached from a lane through a walled and gated grassy garden the front door opens into a small lobby, a wide central hallway with ample hanging space to one side with stairs winding up to the floor above. Off the hall is a very spacious sitting room with a high ceiling and a rather grand granite fireplace. On the other side of the hall is a recently enlarged, attractive kitchen / dining room with modern fitted units and beyond a utility room. There is a new downstairs shower room W.C. with hand basin and a door to a service courtyard at the rear where there are sheds for storage etc.
Upstairs are a bathroom with hand basin and hand shower fitment to the bath, a separate W.C. and three bedrooms, two with a glimpse of the sea at the mouth of the valley. There is one kingsize double room, one twin bedded room and one with bunk beds. From the front garden a side gate and two steps leads up to a part walled grassy garden at one end of the cottage, ideal for older children. The shops and amenities of St Just are about a mile.

Accommodation overview: Less than a ten minute walk from Fistral beach and with delightful views of the Gannel Estuary and National Trust land towards Crantock beach, this comfortable and spacious split level detached house is set on the hillside just half a mile from Pentire Headland. The house was architecturally designed in the 1970's and still retains the charm of the era. It is perfectly situated in a sheltered position on a south facing slope with lovely coastal walks nearby and just a mile from the harbour and town of Newquay.
Approached from the gated driveway where there is parking for 2 cars, a few steps lead down through the garden to the front door which opens to an entrance hallway at mid level and an adjacent twin bedroom overlooking the tree shaded lawn. From the hallway, a short flight of carpeted stairs leads up to a large open plan split level dining and living area. The bright and sunny sitting area has comfortable leather furniture. The lounge opens out through wide patio doors to a timber railed balcony. From here there are stunning views over the rear garden and the tidal estuary across to Crantock beach and the sea beyond. Also on this level is a well equipped fitted kitchen sharing the same marvellous views.
On the ground floor there is a shower room W.C. with hand basin, a bathroom W.C. with vanity basin and sunken bath. There are two further bedrooms; a twin bedded room and the master bedroom with a 5ft double and views of the River Gannel.
At the rear of the property, a pretty landscaped garden built into the hillside has a paved terrace with lovely views of the river Gannel as the tide ebbs and flows. There are several areas of lawn well screened with mature trees and shrubs. Beyond the gate at the bottom of the garden, a rough hillside path with a very steep descent leads to the water front where it is possible to swim when the tide is in – only for the more adventurous.
The nearest pub and local store are within a ten minute walk and for a wider choice of shops, pubs and restaurants Newquay is one mile. There are several excellent beaches nearby, including Crantock and Fistral with its fine golden sands and surfing centre which is the nearest about half a mile away. There is an abundance of visitor attractions in Newquay including a cinema, zoo, aquarium and waterworld leisure park. Riding stables, golf, a bowling alley and boating lake are all close by and a regular bus service operates to Newquay town and railway station. It is also within easy driving distance to Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Watergate Bay and Rick Steins in Padstow.
