Accommodation overview: French Windows to the front of the cottage lead directly into the open-plan ground floor with rustic board and beam ceiling, a slate floor and white painted stone walls.

To one side is a small neatly fitted galley kitchen with a ceramic two ring hob, combination microwave and a small oak dining suite. One step leads up beneath a timber archway to the seating area at the rear with period furniture, comfortable leather armchairs facing the wood burning stove and a window overlooking the sunny terraced area.

A narrow winding staircase leads up to the delightful bedroom with a canopied beam ceiling, rustic pine floorboards and a king-size bed. A skylight allows visitors to watch the stars at night. A small en-suite bathroom W.C. with wash basin and a bath with hand shower fitment completes the accommodation.

The owner regrets that only adults will be accepted because of the potential danger of the river.

Pamos Farm Cottage is a semi-detached cob and thatched holiday property on a delightful traditional farm in the rural setting of the Blackdown Hills surrounded by woodlands and fields.

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the small rural farm is located at the end of a long track off a quiet lane, but easily accessible from the A303, two miles away. It has its own tranquil private garden and there are views across the Otter valley from the grounds.

The coast at Sidmouth, Branscombe and Beer is a 40-minute drive, and the retaurants of Hugh Fearley Whittingstall and Mark Hix at Axminster and Lyme Regis are within a 30-minute drive.

The cathedral city of Exeter with a new shopping centre is 25 miles, and Honiton with its antique shops and secondhand books is 10 miles away. The nearest pub is in Churchinford, two miles away.

A dog is very welcome at this property but must be kept to the ground floor. This is also a working farm with animals so your dog must be kept on a lead when taking advantage of the lovely walks.

The house has been developed specifically for large groups with accommodation up to 16+ available. The house is surrounded by fields and paddocks and, in our opinion, is simply ideal for large gatherings of friends and/or families. Externally the house sits in an acre size plot on the edge of the village (see below) and is well located for the popular market towns of Chipping Norton, Moreton in Marsh and Stow on the Wold.  Similarly near by are a host of beautiful Cotswold villages. The Moors House details

The Moors House is a 18th century self catering holiday long house situated in the character village of South Zeal in the northern part of the Dartmoor National Park, Devon.

The holiday home is situated a little over four miles east of the Devon town of Okehampton. Just 15 miles west of Exeter, it is easily accessible from Exeter St Davids, Exeter Airport and the A30/M5.

This luxury holiday house is a short walk to the Devonshire village of South Zeal, which has two friendly public houses both serving food as well as a store and coffee shop. Ideally situated for an outdoor break as you can explore both the Dartmoor National Park and the Tarka Trail which passes through the next village. There are numerous local attractions and places to visit, including Roadford sailing and angling lake, just 20 minutes away.

The beaches are 30 minutes' drive and the Eden Project is just over an hour away. An ideal golfing break, there are numerous golf courses in the area, and for those who enjoy riding there are two riding stables within five miles.

The property, which is at least 250 years old, sits towards the end of a no-through road  leading towards the historic Norman church and forms part of a row of cottages that are now all owned by one family. The village is 'terribly quintessential English': full of period buildings, relatviely untouched and with stunning views down the valley. Originally the Gamekeeper's cottage for a large local estate, this delightful property sits comfortably next to the Grade II listed bridge over the River Dickler and backs onto private woodland, in the small hamlet of Upper Swell. This spacious property provides an ideal rural setting for a family holiday, yet Stow-on-the-Wold with its eclectic mix of quality shopping, restaurants and pubs is only a mile away.

The Heart of England Way runs adjacent to the cottage, and a 15-minute walk along this public footpath through the magnificent grounds of the Abbottswood Estate, will bring you to Lower Swell where the Golden Ball Public House offers good food, an open fire and a warm welcome. From Lower Swell, you can continue along the public footpaths for a further two miles, to the charming and much photographed villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter.
