Nestling in the grounds of the owners own beautiful 16th century thatched Devon Longhouse, the elevated position ensures stunning countryside views and on a clear day Croyde Bay can be glimpsed from the south facing balcony. This is a lovely spot to enjoy meals al fresco or evening drinks under the stars. A gravel path and steps lead up to the front entrance and into the open plan living room with comfy leather sofa and flat screen wall mounted TV. The modern kitchen area is well equipped, featuring a breakfast bar, and there is one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. Weez House is an ideal choice for surfers, and keen walkers will enjoy exploring the footpath leading almost from the doorstep to the stunning beach at Putsborough around 20 minutes away. To holiday with friends we also have a cottage called Thatcher’s Leggett in the same location. Croyde offers everything you could need in a seaside village, a renowned surfing beach, character cottages and a great selection of pubs and restaurants. Weez House is something a little different, perfect for couples and a welcoming retreat at the end of a fun filled day. Please note that infants are not accepted. The local villagers will tell you that it was formerly known as The Police House, so it's very interesting to find it sits adjacent to the very popular Thatched Barn Inn! The huge open plan kitchen / dining room is the hub of the house, where everyone can gather for convivial meals and wander out onto the pretty lawned garden through a choice of three sets of French doors. The fully enclosed rear patio and lawn backing onto open fields is ideal for a leisurely barbecue with the sound of the waves in the distance, and younger guests will love the space to run and play. The living room, complemented by solid wood flooring, has comfy leather sofas surrounding the attractive ornamental fireplace. A useful utility room has plenty of storage for beach equipment, coats and boots, and a conveniently placed small wet room is ideal for surfers and sand covered children returning straight from the beach.
