The elegant town of Beaumaris (8 miles) as well as being the setting for a splendid castle built by Edward I and the excellent Museum of Childhood is the place to head for puffin and seal watching cruises – one of the highlights of a holiday on Anglesey. Golf riding and walking are all enjoyed locally and Snowdonia with its wealth of outdoor activities is easily accessible. When relaxing on the patio the sound of the river can be heard as it flows by and there is a lovely view to the hills beyond. The open wooden staircase leads up to the bedroom, which has a large, feature circular window, offering a fantastic view out onto the hills. A short 20 minute walk from the village leads down to a lovely sandy beach and there are several good walks close by. The local hotel is within walking distance and has a bar/restaurant. The local service station also has a well stocked shop with post office facilities.

Enjoy low level walks locally or the challenge of Glencoe, hire bikes, take the ferry and explore Lismore Island or try some mountain biking in the forests, launching your kayak from the shoreline. Horse riding, fishing and boating are all available nearby.
