Stonefield renowned for its sub tropical gardens which flourish in the mild Gulf Stream climate is just 200 yards from the cottages and has a small beach which is sandy at low tide (more extensive beaches are 20 minutes by car).
Quintessential Argyll the Kintyre Peninsula offers some wonderfully scenic forest and hill-walking. The local Art Centre is a nature lovers' treat with its deer park wildfowl pond and museum area. Ferries to the beautiful isles of Mull Iona and Colonsay are available from Oban (an hour's drive) while trips to Islay Jura Gigha and Arran are available close by.
