Ivy House is a semi-detached holiday cottage next to the church in the centre of the very attractive and unspoilt village of Wetton hidden deep in the Derbyshire Dales.

This self-catering luxury retreat is only a few minutes' walk from the upper reaches of Dovedale and Manifold Valley in the Peak District National Park. The Royal Oak, a good eating pub, is 100 yards away. Ivy House can be booked together with Reading Room (DE005), which is adjacent and sleeps four guests. There is an interconnecting door between the two properties with low headroom.

Accommodation overview: Rectory Cottage, Alvescot is a truly classic Cotswolds cottage built in traditional stone under a Cotswold tile roof, but presented in a beautifully cool and contemporary style that makes it a stunning option for groups or families of up to 10 people. Set overlooking fields and surrounded by period Cotswold properties this delightful holiday cottage offers a very high standard of self catering accommodation. Internally, the owners have created a stunning home, which while contemporary it retains a wealth of period features that give a real sense of warmth and 'welcome'. The accommodation, which is set over three floors and with good size rooms throughout, has many period features through out. Including flagstone flooring, beams and mullion windows but of particular appeal is the kitchen which is, as they say, 'where the heart is': a gorgeous light room with a vaulted ceiling and Aga. When we visited the property we came away with the wow factor very much in our minds, we're confident that you'll feel just the same when you walk through the door too! Accommodation overview: Backlodge Stables is an extremely high standard of self catering accommodation situated in a superb location in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. The accommodation is actually two components (The Stables and The Tack Room) which combined offer four bedrooms and three bathrooms but allow one couple to enjoy more privacy with their own self contained facilities. Access between the two properties is about 15 paces along the path! The large open plan living space in The Stables is perfect for large families or groups with large sofas and dining facilities making it suitable for general entertaining. It's central, yet quiet, location also make it a great spot for the wealth of Stratford's attractions, see below. We loved these properties. ACCOMMODATIONThe main entrance is to The Stables, with access to The Tack Room approx 10 yards away. The Stables has:Large Living Space with two large sofas, additional seating, large flatscreen TV, Freeview, DVD player and gas flame fire. Kitchen / Diner with large dining table and 8 chairs and fully equipped kitchen with halogen hob, oven, grill, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, microwave and large fridge freezer. There are three bedrooms on the first floor; two with king size double beds and one with twin single beds. There is one ensuite bathroom and one family bathroom. All bedrooms have wardrobe and chest of drawersThe Tack Room is a completely self contained property, with it's own fully equipped kitchen, plus living room with TV, DVD etc. Upstairs there is a bedroom suite, with king size double bed and wardrobe plus ensuite shower room.OutsideThe Stables has an enclosed, south facing courtyard with table and chairs. Its location down a little lane and within a traditional terrace of cottages is very peaceful and very convenient for two superb pubs less than 5 mins walk away. The cottage, which is attached to the owners' home has been recently refurbished and provides very comfortable accommodation across two floors perfect for a weekend get-a-way or as a base for touring the local Cotswolds area. The church in particular (a Grade One listed building) is relatively famous in local circles for its historical significance. Somerton is no more than 15 mins outside Woodstock, the very popular Oxfordshire market town and just 15 miles from the centre of Oxford. The village also enjoys superb travel links with Bicester train station (to London Marylebone) 10 mins drive away or Junction 10 of the M40 no more than 3 miles away. The village sits on the northern side of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds with the River Cherwell and Oxford Canal both meandering through the edge of the village and just moments from this holiday cottage. The meadows at the river are absolutely perfect for evening 'sun-downers'. There are many walks to choose from, right from your door. The very famous and very popular Bicester Shopping Outlet Centre (or Bicester Village as it is called) is 10 mins away if shopping is your thing. There are a variety of good pubs in the locality, but none in the village. Of particular note is The Falkland Arms in Great Tew, one of the prettiest spots imaginable.
