The village has everything you could want for a Cotswolds' break, including award winning pubs and a comprehensive local store. It has many excellent walks surrounding it, but perhaps of great appeal to some is the convenience of the Daylesford Organic (described in The Telegraph as 'the UK's poshest shop'!!) The cottage, which is semi detached, is a simply stunning holiday home spread across four floors with spacious rooms throughout. The large welcoming living space, plus the three bathrooms (for three bedrooms) make this a thoroughly attractive option. However and perhaps most amazing, if this is possible, is the swimming pool and steam room (Turkish Hammam) which are of the highest quality and for guests' use. In addition and on request, is a tennis court. This holiday cottage really has it all and is suitable for customers who expect the very best in self catering accommodation. Footstool Cottage is a cosy retreat situated in the village of Fulbrook which lies about half a mile to the north east of the bustling market town of Burford. The Old Bothy is a detached self catering holiday cottage for two adults in the grounds of a 17th century Grade II listed house. The compact single storey stone cottage was thoughtfully renovated in 2009 and furnished to a high standard providing a perfect setting for a romantic break.

It is situated in a very quiet conservation area of the 11th century village of Halford, which contains many Grade II listed houses and a beautiful Saxon Church. The Halford Bridge hotel and restaurant (originally an old coaching inn) is a few minutes' walk away. The local garage carries a good range of provisions.

The location of Halford makes an ideal starting point. Halford itself is situated on the Fosse Way (A429), at the northern end of the Cotswolds, eight miles from Stratford-upon-Avon (birthplace of Shakespeare and home of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre) and 14 miles from Warwick with its famous Warwick Castle. The old market town of Shipston on Stour is a few minutes' drive away and contains many shops, pubs and restaurants

Nearby attractions include Hidcote Gardens (six miles), the Cotswold towns of Moreton in Marsh (nine miles), Stow-on-the-Wold (14 miles) and Chipping Campden (10 miles). Blenheim Palace (the birthplace of Winston Churchill) and the larger towns and cities of Oxford, Worcester and Cheltenham are all within an easy drive of approximately an hour

There are several notable National Trust properties nearby including Hidcote Gardens.

Memorial Cottage is a Grade II listed, period stone, terraced, holiday cottage lying a few minutes' walk from the centre of the village.

Eyam, a beautiful unspoilt village set high among the moors in the north of the National Park between Bakewell and Castleton.

The village has a museum, hall, several shops and a good pub, the Miners Arms. This is prime rambling country and a hill track across Eyam Moor at the back of the village climbs to 1,200ft above sea level and offers spectacular views of Axe Edge, Maw Tor and Kinderscout.

Internally, the owners have created a stunning home, which while contemporary it retains a wealth of period features that give a real sense of warmth and 'welcome'. The accommodation, which is set over three floors and with good size rooms throughout, has many period features through out. Including flagstone flooring, beams and mullion windows but of particular appeal is the kitchen which is, as they say, 'where the heart is': a gorgeous light room with a vaulted ceiling and Aga. When we visited the property we came away with the wow factor very much in our minds, we're confident that you'll feel just the same when you walk through the door too!
