As the name suggests the barn was once the hayloft of this farm, but today has been converted to provide spacious accommodation for up to seven people. Internally the cottage has been renovated to a very high standard creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere which is ideal for families and small groups. As one would expect, the cottage retains many character features including exposed walls and beams! Located on a small and quiet lane, this holiday cottage, in our opinion, is an ideal family destination. Nearby is Stow on the Wold (approx 4 miles) a popular Cotswolds market town with many antique shops, restaurants and cafes as well as other amenities to choose from. Cheltenham is very near by also. Slightly further afield are many other Cotswolds hotspots including Burford, Bourton on the Water, Woodstock and Cirencester along with many attractions. Of particular interest is the Cotswold Farm Park which is very close by.

The cottage is located in the old town of Glossop and has views from the rear of the property over to Shelf Moor, which contains over 50 crash sites dating back to the second world war. Old Glossop is a quaint village steeped in history with several period buildings with the old market cross still visible to this day. Manor Park is a stones throw away, as well as three local pubs offering real ale and traditional fare. The local shops and restaurants are less than a mile away. The area has an abundance of walks, cycle routes and horse riding paths including Longdendale Trail, Pennine way, Crowden and Derwent reservoir made famous by the Dambusters.
