The property is on the quiet high street of the very friendly and attractive Somerset village of Nether Stowey which lies at the foot of the Quantock Hills. This self catering holiday retreat makes an ideal outdoor break as the area is exceptional for walking, riding and the unspoilt countryside.

The village has a pub, post office, tea shop and grocery store. Nether Stowey's poetic history is well documented, being a former home of Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

Nether Stowey is easily accessed from the M5, only 3 hours' drive from London.

The village of Kilve is 1 mile from the property and has a pub/restaurant Post Office and village store. The larger village of Williton 5 miles away has a range of shops restaurants and several pubs. There are a variety of places to visit further afield such as the West Somerset Steam Railway Dunster Castle or the seaside town of Minehead. There are also several quiet bays with sandy coves within a short drive and many accept dog walkers all year round. With the Quantock Hills quite literally on your doorstep you are spoilt for choice be it walking the famed Coleridge Way mountain biking horse riding or having a romantic picnic in the owner s 4 acre plantation.
