In association with Trinity House, Rural Retreats is pleased to present Stella at Nash Point Lighthouse.
Stella (with accommodation for 5 guests) is one of two holiday cottages available at the lighthouse which is located on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. There are wonderful safe beaches, many of which have been awarded the coveted blue flag.
The perimeter of the holiday site is fully fenced and gated but once outside this area, it is very dangerous for children. Strict supervision at all times is recommended, as not all guests will remember to keep the gate closed and locked.
This lighthouse does not have a fog horn.

Access roads to some of the lighthouse sites are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.
Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.

Porth Llongdy Uchaf is a detached holiday home, situated in an elevated position, with direct beach access on Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey which is considered an area of outstanding natural beauty and a conservation area. It is set in 2 acres of garden with a separate 4 acre paddock alongside.
The garden wall is also the sea wall. In summertime there are many sailing boats on the bay and in wintertime the boats leave and are replaced by an outstanding array of wildlife.
There are several good places to eat locally, including The Tavern at St Davids Park, the Old Boathouse on Red Wharf Bay and a little further afield The White Eagle at Rhoscollyn is a particular favourite. Ye Olde Bull at Beaumaris with both a brasserie and fine dining restaurant is also popular. Good Chinese and Indian take-away is also available locally.

For children, the area is particularly well served with Barry Island Pleasure Park and the Quaser Centre both within a 20-minute drive. St Donats Art Centre offers exhibitions, cinema, dance, theatre, music and children's events. The Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagans is also 20 minutes away.
Cowbridge offers a good range of shops with small boutiques, craft and art galleries, excellent restaurants and pubs. Further along the coast is the famous Gower peninsula and walking on the Mumbles.

High House is an elegant grade II listed house set in a quiet cobbled street in the beautiful seaside town of Tenby on the Pembrokeshire coast.
Walk 80 yards out of the house one way to a stunning beach or the other way into the town centre with its medieval walls, harbour, fishing boats, colourfully painted Georgian houses, shops, restaurants and cafes.
High House is a wonderful place to stay for all ages and at all times of year. The house has a wet room with a walk-in shower and a large selection of wet suits and boogie boards. There is a TV chill-out room on the top floor, two smart TVs, an X-box 360, blue tooth connected Bose sound box, board games and beach games. There are some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK, numerous walks, surfing, a great links golf course and lots of other seaside activities nearby. Plas Bach is located in the picturesque village of Aberporth, Cardigan Bay and boasts two award winning, Blue Flag, sandy beaches. These are flanked by rocks and rock pools ideal for adventuring with the children, crabbing and swimming. Lifeguards patrol the beaches during the summer season, making the water safer for all. There is also a slipway for launching small boats. Aberporth is an ideal base for walkers with coastal and inland walks of varying lengths - maps and guides are available at the house. Dolphins and seals are often spotted from the beach and from the viewing platform situated between the beaches.

Dry slope skiing, tobogganing, snowboarding, horse riding and many other activities for all ages are available at Llangrannog Urdd Centre nearby.
Plas Bach is a modern, open planned family friendly holiday home, set in its own grounds and situated less than five minutes' walk from the beaches. The cottage enjoys spectacular views of the Cardigan coast from its large decked area at the front of the house.
