The nature reserves at Surlingham and Strumpshaw are close by and have waterside trails - a delight for walkers and nature lovers. Lingwood is also only eight miles from the fine city of Norwich, which as well as being steeped in history has a good array of shops, pubs, restaurants and leisure facilities. Also within a short drive is the sandy beach at the coastal village of Winterton-on-Sea.
The Bakehouse is set in three acres of private, peaceful grounds behind the owner's Georgian country house between Lingwood and South Burlingham.
