There are also the remains of a leper chapel by the church and a monastery. The beach is shingle but at low tide it is partly sandy. There are many scenic pathways across the heath to the coastguard cottages and national trust tearooms. Amongst the numerous trails leading from Dunwich is one to Walberswick and on to Southwold via the ferry or bridge. The whole of the heritage coast offers excellent walking and stunning beaches to explore. Seadrift is a newly renovated four bedroom holiday home in Dunwich. It has been totally refurbished to the highest standard with ensuite bathrooms in three of the bedrooms and a family bathroom directly adjacent to the fourth. The rear garden has a large decked area with table and chairs and a barbeque to enjoy the stunning views across Dingle marshes towards Walberswick and Southwold. Orford is an attractive small town, dominated by the remains of a 12th Century castle keep - you may like to climb to the top to enjoy the panoramic views over the town and marshes. Sailing and boat trips are available on the River Ore, with country walks in Rendlesham Forest.
