The villages of Brandeston and Cretingham are between four and five miles south west of the historic market town of Framlingham, with its famous castle (Mary Queen of Scots was a prisoner there) and full complement of shops and pubs. It is the home of skylarks and little terns (please be careful not to disturb the nests) and the habitat of sea holly, sea pea and bird's foot trefoil to name a few.
