You can hire dipping nets and buckets there - try to catch your own Cromer crab from the pier! There is an excellent sea-front cafe/restaurant at the lifeboat museum.

The Link makes a perfect Norfolk retreat for golfing breaks. The property is adjacent to the Royal Cromer 18-hole golf course where non-members with a handicap are welcome.

This lighthouse does not have a fog signal.

Access roads to some of the lighthouse sites are narrow with limited passing places and, dependent on the season and site, there is the possibility of overhanging vegetation due to cutting restrictions during bird breeding seasons or other environmental reasons.

Guests should be aware that the lighthouses and equipment need regular and sometimes emergency maintenance. Therefore visits by maintenance staff may occur at any time during the year. However, staff will do their best to ensure guest privacy at all times.

The house was originally built for the town's wheat merchant, who, it was rumoured, was also a smuggler. The spacious bedrooms have impressive views across the coast from Holkham to Stiffkey.

The beautiful sandy beach, with its pine trees, sand dunes and colourful beach huts, can be reached using a miniature steam train from the harbour, or enjoy the quay with its active fishing fleet and sailing club. The Normans makes an ideal outdoor holiday break as both Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham Woods are one of the UK's designated Nature Reserves, and walkers and birdwatchers can enjoy the North Norfolk Coastal Path, creeks and marshes.
