Converted to a high standard and set in an L shape with a courtyard on one side and lovely country views over Thomas Hardy s famous Blackmoor Vale on the other. Steeped in history Dorset s beautiful landscape of rolling chalk downland and hidden valleys affords wonderful walking. The area offers a wealth of pretty villages sandy beaches and a coastline which has World Heritage status. There are several golf courses nearby horse riding and water activities can be enjoyed at Halstock Reservoir. The towns of Dorchester Sherborne and Yeovil are easily accessible and there are many National Trust properties and gardens to visit including Montacute and Stourhead. In addition to this there are many attractions including Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum Haynes Motor Museum Monkey World and Abbotsbury Swannery. Farm activities: though set on the edge of an organic farm but in a non-working part the owner would be delighted to show guests around the farm which is only a short walk away from the cottages.
