The lodge is conveniently situated in the middle of the charming village of Colmonell. Colmonell is a small village in the Stinchar Valley South Ayrshire. The River Stinchar runs through the valley and the Colmonell area boasts three ruined castles Craigneil Castle Kirkhill Castleand Knockdolian Castle. The close community of Colmonell has a small primary school pub fire station and village church. The village has an annual Church Fete in August and an agricultural show the same month.
