Accommodation overview: Uniquely situated 1 mile from the lighthouse at Ardnamurchan Point, the most westerly point on the British mainland, this beautiful traditional farmhouse stands in 1800 acres of ground with its own beaches, loch and coastline. The house dates back to the early 1900s and has been completely re-built and extended to a very high standard to offer an exceptionally comfortable and spacious holiday home. The sunny, bright rooms are beautifully decorated and enjoy magnificent views of the loch, hills, coastline and across the sea to the Isle of Coll. There is a large enclosed garden with picnic table and a large barn with table tennis.
Grigadale is accessed by a beautiful 60 mile drive from Fort William, the last 30 miles are via a spectacular single track road which winds through magnificent coastal and mountain scenery - the house is spectacularly positioned in one of the last remote and unspoiled areas of Scotland. The dramatic, wild mountains, rich forests and varied coastlines offer superb opportunities for walking, biking, birdwatching and fishing. The ferry from nearby Kilchoan to Tobermory on the Isle of Mull offers a great day trip. There is a hotel within 2 miles, an excellent coffee shop at the lighthouse and a well-stocked shop in the village of Kilchoan which is 5 miles away.
