Walkers can enjoy discovering a very varied landscape from high chalk hills through the winding lanes of sleepy valleys to the dramatic cliffs of Golden Cap (N.T.). The nearest beach is at West Bay just 4 miles away where rowing boats can be hired and fishing trips arranged. Along the coast is Lyme Regis whose sheltered harbour famously featured as a setting for the film The French Lieutenant's Woman. The historic market town of Dorchester is 15 miles. Weymouth (14 miles) offers everything from water sports to night clubs. Shops restaurants and pubs within 3 miles.
