Situated just 750m from the South West Coastal Path, this property offers lovely views of the sea and moor. The property is a spacious detached house which has been completely renovated to a very high standard, offering spacious accommodation. There is a lovely garden, ideal for al-fresco dining. It has its own orchard and a small woodland area. The well appointed living room commands views across the bay, and there is a garage/workshop with pool table. Beautiful French wood-burning stoves are provided for those colder evenings, making this a very warm and cosy property. The house is situated in a wonderful location for a beach holiday, walking holiday or friends to get together. There is a ‘locals’ beach just 1 mile from the property, ideal for all ages. There are good pubs and highly recommended restaurants not too far from the property. There is an RSPB nature reserve at nearby Labrador Bay (½ mile). Shaldon, with its own zoo and sandy beach, is 2 miles from the property. Torquay has much to offer, including Kent’s Cavern and the Model Village. The Living Coasts have penguins wandering freely, or take a boat trip across to Brixham for a lovely day out. Further along the coast is Paignton with its world famous zoo, sandy beaches, water park and steam train to the historic naval town of Dartmouth. There are many NT properties to visit in the area, such as Agatha Christie’s Greenway home. Exeter with its cathedral is magnificent and well worth a visit, take in the shops or wander down to the canal and take a boat up to the pubs that cannot be reached by car, or for the more energetic, hire a bike and cycle the route instead. For children there is Crealy Adventure Park which is a great day out. For walkers who want to walk the Jurassic Coast, this is a great base as Sidmouth is just 28 miles away.
