Auchterarder is a small peaceful town with good facilities and a selection of excellent shops, pubs, restaurants and hotels. It is off the main road at the gateway to the Highlands and is an excellent base for touring with Perth, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh all less than an hour's drive and the magnificent scenery of the Trossachs and Highland Perthshire nearby.
There are numerous recreational amenities in this popular area including excellent golf courses (Gleneagles nearby), a range of watersports at Loch Earn, fishing, hillwalking and interesting Scottish history to be explored.
